Gray Collegiate rallies to beat Carvers Bay in Boys 2A basketball championship game

Gray Collegiate beat the Carvers Bay Bears 58-45 to win the Boys Class AA State Championship.

Carvers Bay put up a fight for more than three quarters at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia.

Dijon Goss led Carvers Bay with 17 points, and Stephon Greene had a dozen tallies for the Bears.

Gray Collegiate pulled away in the fourth quarter with a 15-3 run to close out the game.

Tommy Bruner led Gray Collegiate with 20 points, and Class AA State player of the year Juwan Gary added 13.

Carvers Bay's finished its best season in school history with a 24-3 record.
