Williamsburg Academy wins SCISA Class A Football Title

The Williamsburg Academy Stallions beat the Colleton Prep Warhawks 26-13 to win the SCISA Class A State Football Championship on Saturday at Charlie W. Johnson Stadium in Columbia.

Williamsburg Academy from Kingstree, was led by quarterback Robbie Heathcott. He threw a 26-yard TD pass to Justin McCrea to get the Stallions on the board in the first quarter. McCrea caught two scoring passes in the game.

Dillon Davis came up with a big play in the third quarter, scoring on an 88-yard TD run.

Heathcott iced the game late in the fourth quarter on a 2-yard TD run.

Colleton Prep scored the first points of the game on a 65-yard return off the opening kickoff by Nick Padgett.

Under the leadership of head coach Ken Kellahan, the Stallions (9-2) ended the season on a six-game winning streak. It is the first state football championship for Williamsburg Academy.
