Two time winner in Sprint Cup headlines Myrtle Beach 400 field
Fri, 22 Nov 2013 21:14:05 GMT —
David Ragan was in Homestead for the last Sprint Cup race of 2013. The offseason is short in racing's top series, but Ragan couldn't stay out of a race car for long. The driver of the #34 Ford for Front Row Motorsports is part of the field for this Sunday's Myrtle Beach 400, the season ending Late Model event at Myrtle Beach Speedway.
Ragan will be in the #77 Chevrolet owned by Jamie Yelton, who also has Massachussetts driver Kaz Grala in the field. Ragan was 6th fastest in his first practice for the Myrtle Beach 400. Ragan has two career Sprint Cup victories, a July Daytona win in 2011 and this spring at Talladega in the Aaron's 499. He finished 28th in 2013 Sprint Cup points.
The Myrtle Beach 400 is scheduled to go green at 2:30 pm on Sunday with the winner set to capture a $15,000 first place check. Racing will take place throughout the weekend leading up to Sunday's finale.
