Hags Thoughts

Bill Tate is back. The legendary coach is just three wins shy of 300 for his career. He should breeze past that number before region play begins. Five starters return on both sides of the ball. All-Zone RB/DB Brandon Hampton led the area in interceptions. RB/DB Tyquez Young will team with Hampton and athletic QB Franklin King out of a wishbone offense. Timmonsville and Carvers Bay will likely battle it out for the Region 7-1A title.

Rich's Thoughts

All is right in the Whirlwinds world again. Bill Tate should have never been pushed out the door and fortunately, the legend is back. This team was one win away from reaching the state title game last year. With Franklin King, Brandon Hampton and Tyquez Young, the Whirlwinds can be in the state title conversation once again. There's been a lot of turbulence in the entire Timmonsville comminity and the Whirlwinds football team can get the area excited for Friday night's and do them proud.
