North wins boys and girls North-South All-Star games

Wilson's Alandre Davis scored 8 points for the South stars.

The South Carolina North boys all-stars defeated the South stars 108-99 at North Myrtle Beach High on Saturday. Easley's Spencer Collins led the North with 29 points and nine rebounds. He was named MVP.

The South boys had two players from the Pee Dee and Grand Strand on their all-star roster. Wilson's Alandre Davis finished with eight points and seven rebounds. Socastee's Travis Frye ended up with three points and seven rebounds.

The North girls all-stars breezed to victory over the South stars 93-46. Shaquita Walker from Spring Valley High was one of five North players in double-figures. She scored a dozen points and made seven steals. Walker was named MVP.\

Six area girls competed for the South stars. Johnsonville's Keyarah Turner scored four points with eight rebounds. Dillon's Chelsea Frazier scored four points. Marlboro County's Dana Moore tallied three points. Stephanie Roberts from St. James High was held scoreless but blocked one shot and hauled down two rebounds. Mullins' Britany Rowell scored five points and led the South in rebounding with 11.
