Morris walk off gives Seahawks key region win

Andrew Morris delivered a walk off RBI single in extra innings to give the Myrtle Beach Seahawks a 6-5 win in eight innings over Georgetown. The Seahawks improved to 12-10, 5-4 in region play. Myrtle Beach is tied with Saint James at 5-4 in Region 7-3A. The Seahawks close out the regular season with a game against North Myrtle Beach on Friday. Second place gets a home game in the start of the 3A baseball playoffs on May 2nd. Socastee clinched the top spot in the region with a 10-0 win over the Chiefs on Tuesday.

The Seahawks were in a 4-0 hole in the first inning and trailed 5-3 before a pair of runs in the sixth inning tied up the contest. Morris cranked a single to center with one out in the 8th plating Cody Thomas with the game winner.
