The Lumberton Pirates have nowhere to go but up. After finishing with a 1-10 record last season, the Pirates will try to get their program back to championship form under new head coach Mike Setzer.
Lumberton has 26 seniors returning, including college prospects Jermaine Williams and Landon Brewer, who will lead the Pirates four man front on defense. A total of nine defensive starters return for the maroon and gold.
Nine players are back on offense, including top recruit, offensive lineman Pete Townsend. Running Back Josh Sheridan will carry most of the load at running back.
Lumberton will open the season at home against Douglas Byrd on August 22nd.
