Lamar enters the 2014 season with Cory Fountain at the helm. Fountain takes over for JR Boyd, who spent many years in Lamar.
Fountain inherits a team that concluded 2013 with a 10-3 record. They return six starters on offense, seven on defense. Quin Brown returns for his senior season. The quarterback accounted for nearly 1,600 yards passing and 23 touchdowns last season. He'll have LaBradford Abson back to help with the offensive production. Abson averaged nearly 17 yards per catch last year, accounting for eight touchdowns.
The Silver Foxes will open the season August 22nd at Mullins.
