HP tabs Myrtle Beach assistant as Raiders football coach and AD

Myrtle Beach assistant coach Matt Moss is getting his first opportunity to be a head football coach. Moss has been named head football coach and athletic director at Hannah-Pamplico. Florence School District Two Superintendent Robert Sullivan confirmed the hiring following a board meeting on Monday night.

Moss is the son of former Lake City head coach Mickey Moss, who retired this year at Blacksburg High. Moss spent six seasons under Scott Earley and Mickey Wilson at Myrtle Beach, where he coached the offensive line and was the Seahawks strength and conditioning coordinator. Moss replaces Kirk Mays, who stepped down after eight years leading the Raiders. Hannah-Pamplico was 4-6 in 2012, with a 3-2 record in Region 8/1A.
