Future Duke Blue Devil leads team to Beach Ball title, South Florence claims 2OT thriller in Pepsi Classic

New Year's Eve saw the Beach Ball Classic and Pepsi Classic tournaments come to a close, the

Beach Ball Classic Final is,

Providence (FL) 69 Northland (OH) 43.

Grayson Allen had 26 points and 9 rebounds to lead Providence to the 2013 Beach Ball Classic title. Allen stole the show in the week long showcase of 16 teams around the country. The commitment to Duke University won the slam dunk contest and grabbed national attention with his leap over four teammates. His dunk was the #9 play in ESPN's SportsCenter Top 10 on Monday night.

Northland jumped out to a 20-12 lead in the first half, before Providence took a 29-27 lead at the half on a three point play by Christian Terrell. Providence opened the second half on a 12-0 run and never looked back. Allen was named Beach Ball Classic MVP.

South Florence 79 Wilson 77 - Double Overtime

The South Florence Bruins claimed its first ever Pepsi Classic championship with a 79-77 double overtime win over cross town rival Wilson at West Florence High. The Bruins got 17 points from Deadrick Williams who was named Pepsi Classic MVP
