Carolina Forest tight end Ryan Yurachek has made an early commitment to a Division I FBS program. Yurachek gave a verbal pledge to the Marshall Thundering Herd. He confirmed the news on his Twitter account:
"Proud to announce that I am officially committed to Marshall. Thank you to my teammates and coaches. Most of all my family. #thunderingherd"
Yurachek was a 2012 WPDE All-Zone selection after 56 catches for 731 yards and 7 TD's for the Panthers. He'll team up with Will Brunson as one of the top passing duos in the area for their senior season. Yurachek is also a key contributor to the Panthers varsity basketball and baseball programs, but he'll concentrate on football in Huntington, West Virginia. The Thundering Herd signed Myrtle Beach defensive back Chocolate Wilson as part of its 2013 signing day class.
Yurachek becomes the third WPDE All-Zoner to commit early to a Division I program. Dillon's Joe Blue was an early commitment to the University of South Carolina and last week West Florence kicker Alex Spence committed to Clemson. Carvers Bay DT Naquez Pringle and Latta offensive lineman Donnell Stanley are two more big names from the class of 2014 that are getting plenty of Division I interest.
