The Carolina Academy Bobcats of Lake City are poised for another successful season of 8-man high school football in the SCISA ranks.
Carolina Academy's leading tackler, Connor Floyd returns, along with senior fullback Jacob Hill, off a team that finished with a record of 11-1 and into the second round of the playoffs.
Jared Littell is expected to carry most of the load in the Bobcats run-oriented offense. He will replace Keith McKenzie, who rushed for more than 1,700 yards last season.
Bobcats head coach T.J. Joye, who is also a South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper, has a roster of 24 players. Joye says this is the strongest team he's ever coached.
Carolina Academy will open the season against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs and went on to win the SCISA 8-man title last year. The Bobcats will face Wardlaw Academy on August 29th in Lake City.
