      Alex Brown - Mullins

Mullins guard Alex Brown was voted Region 8 Class 2A player of the year. This 6-foot-4 senior was a scoring machine with more than 21 points an outing to go along with more than 8 rebounds. He was a big reason why the Auctioneers won the region championship. Brown was All-State. Brown and Jalek Felton teamed up to become the most productive offensive duo in the Pee Dee this season as they ran away with another region championship and a deep run in the playoffs. Head Coach Mark Gerald calls Brown the best combination of an athlete, student and young man with character that he's coached in his 24 years at Mullins. In the classroom -- Alex Brown has recorded a 3-point-5 GPA.

      Jalek Felton - Mullins

Jalek Felton of Mullins is one of the top rated freshmen in the country. The 6-foot-3 phenom is the nephew of New York Knicks guard Raymond Felton. Jalik ripped the nylon for 21 points a game this year. He's improved his outside shot this season and is not afraid to take it to the rack. He had three steals a game this year and dishes out six assists a game for the Auctioneers. Felton already has plenty of travel ball experience on the AAU level and his dream is to follow in uncle Raymond's footsteps and one day sign with the North Carolina Tar Heels.

      Frankie Johnson - Darilngton

Darlington's Frankie Johnson led the Falcons to the Region 6 Class 3A Championship. The 5-foot-6 Johnson was also voted conference player of the year and made All-State. This tiny sophomore has a high basketball I.Q. and he's quick as lightning -- grabbing nearly five steals a game. He has great court awareness and an excellent shooting touch beyond the arc. Falcons head coach Ken Howle says Frankie is a gym rat who constantly works on his game. Johnson is a 3-year starter who averaged 18 points a game this season with nearly four assists.
