End Zone game of the week: Latta at Marion

The Latta Vikings will travel to Fox Field to play the Marion Swamp Foxes in the game of the week on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. The winning team will appear live on the End Zone football show which airs at 11:20 p.m. on WPDE ABC 15.

Latta has not beaten Marion since 1972. This year, the Vikings have locked up a playoff spot in Class AA Region VII.

Marion, under first year head coach Quin McCollum, is 2-2 in the region, and needs at least one more win in their final two regular season games to qualify for the playoffs.

Latta is led by quarterback Dylan Brewer, who has completed 92-of-170 passes this season for 1,537 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Latta also has the top receiver in the Pee Dee, Kendall Moultrie. He has 31 receptions for 573 yards and five TD's.

Vikings running back Ontario McClellan is a game-breaker. He has rushed 96 times for 651 yards and eight scores.

Latta is averaging 33.6 points per game. Marion has tallied 21 points a contest.

Marion junior running back Kailik Faulk is averaging 119 total yards a game.

The Swamp Foxes are coming off a 48-46 double-overtime loss to arch-rival Mullins.
