After just 2:21 of action, both teams retreated to halftime with the score still 13-0. Columbia struck in the third quarter on a 77 yard TD pass from Keenan Grissett to Diante Petruso to make it a 13-6 ballgame. On the ensuing kickoff, Kendrick Johnson of Wilson took it to the house, but the points were taken off the board by a block in the back. Wilson had nine penalties in the third quarter, six of them for holding. The Tigers had a missed field goal and stayed in front 13-6 through three quarters.

Columbia took momentum in the fourth as Grissett scored from five yards out followed by a two point conversion pass to Petruso to make it 14-13. But Wilson got a big spark from a bad snap that was scooped up by sophomore linebacker Daleon James. Maize would score from 10 yards out to make it a 20-13 game and capped off the scoring with his third touchdown of the game (one on Friday, two on Saturday). Maize finished with 17 carries for 148 yards and two rushing scores along with 4 catches for 85 yards and a receiving TD. Tigers QB TJ Frederick was 24 of 32 for 309 yards with 1 TD pass and 2 INT's. Christian Bruce was the leading receiver for Wilson with 8 catches and 137 yards.
