      Hags Thoughts

The Bruins will not miss a beat under new Head Coach David Prince. He has been at the school for 13 seasons and knows the program well. The South Florence defense will be strong with seven starters returning including Fabian Jefferson and Mason Edwards. A veteran offensive line is returning. The future will hinge on replacing area passing leader Ethan Granger. Rising sophomore Nick Jones had more than 2,000 total yards on the Bruins JV last season. Jones development may determine the Bruins fortunes this fall.

      Rich's Thoughts

Great hire by South Florence. With the success of Lynn Fleming, there's no need to rock the boat. David Prince will keep the ship going in the right direction. Mason Edwards will always be a part of Zone history with his crushing hit of Wilson that got the #1 play that week in the Zone. Beyond that play, he earned a spot on the All-Zone team with consistent play. Looking forward to seeing what Nick Jones brings to the table on Friday nights.
