Hags Thoughts

The Braves lost 20 players to graduation off last year's squad. But Head Coach Tim Renfrow has a solid core returning. His son, Hunter takes over at QB with an experienced backfield which includes Adam Crane, Tommy Lazaroff and Daquan Brown. The offense should have no problem putting points on the board. The Socastee defense looks to improve after giving up nearly 25 points a game. Good news for Socastee is that seven starters return on that side of the ball.

Rich's Thoughts

Hunter Renfrow is going to be electric. Socastee has hung its hat no taking its best athlete and letting them be the point man on the option attack. The Braves had so many great option QB's over the years (Zack Elliman, Willis Mills, Jordan Renfrow) - Hunter may be the best of them all. Much has been made about David Bennett leading the Braves athletic department. Not only will Tim Renfrow have his new boss as a consultant to Socastee football, Jimmy "Moose" Wallace is lending his expertise as well. He has 286 career wins at Northwestern including four state championships.
