Scotland falls to Dudley in NC 4A State Championship

The Scotland Scots finished the high school football season with a 15-1 record.

The Dudley Panthers beat the Scotland Scots 24-7 to win the North Carolina Class 4A State Championship, at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Scotland took an early 7-0 lead on a 72-yard fumble return for a touchdown by junior linebacker Brandon McMillian.

Dudley countered with 24 unanswered points. Lamarc Watlington ran for 160 yards and two scores to lead the Panthers.

It is Dudley's first state football championship since 2008. They finished the season with a 15-0 record.

Scotland finished the year with a 15-1 record.
