      Rich's Take

Don't ever tell me that Lake City is afraid to take on a challenge. The Panthers out of region schedule is one of the toughest you'll see. Tell me any team that wants to deal with South Florence, Socastee and back to back road trips to Manning and Dillon followed by a matchup with Crestwood. It should pay off come region time as Lake City will not be intimidated by anyone in league play after going through that meat grinder. The biggest challenge for the young Lake City team is to not get caught up in the wins and losses early on and know that getting ready to compete in the region is the big picture. The Panthers are a team that was defined by Devaris Brunson last year so I'll be paying extra attention in the early weeks to see who emerges as the key contributors to the 2013 Panthers.

      Worth Another Watch

Lake City has had a run of Division I talent in recent years starting with Scotty Cooper to Clemson and then Zoneman winner Shon Carson to the Gamecocks. Devaris Brunson is the next Division I Panther when he signed with East Carolina. Click HERE to see Brunson's signing with the Pirates.
