Rich's Take on the Red Foxes
It's easy to point out the losses of the three headed monster (Trey Samuel, Trey Rogers and Dominic Robinson), but the biggest loss will be the talented four offensive linemen who opened up all those holes. No one knows what the Hartsville offense will look like this year, and I'm not ready to write them off. Will they crank out 6000 yards? I don't know about that, but I know that the youngsters will be motivated to keep the tradition going. The guy I'm really keeping a close eye on is sophomore linebacker Datavious Wilson. I hope he's hitting the books as hard as he is running backs, because he could be a Division I prospect. The defense will keep the Red Foxes in a lot of games this year. Laquan Haigler is a great ringleader and I like the depth on the defensive line with Dwayne McDaniel and company.
Worth Another Watch
I've seen a lot of local state championship games in my 14 years here, and the Red Foxes dismantling of a talented Union County squad was the most dominating I had ever seen. Click HERE to watch Hartsville's 3A title victory over Union at Williams-Brice Stadium.
