Darlington wins football scrimmage against North Myrtle Beach

      The Darlington Falcons football team scored a 22-13 win over the visiting North Myrtle Beach Chiefs in a Wednesday night scrimmage.

      Darlington struck first. Falcons All-State basketball star Frankie Johnson, playing the slot position, scored on a 51-yard touchdown run.

      North Myrtle Beach countered with a 3-yard touchdown run by quarterback Kendrick Furness to cut the Falcons lead to 8-7 at halftime.

      In the second half, Darlington scored again when Melquan Depugh scored on a short run to make it 16-7.

      North Myrtle Beach answered with a Randy Davenport touchdown run to cut the Darlington lead to 16-13.

      The Falcons closed out the scoring with a touchdown pass from Shakeem Thomas to Tra'Quan Dubose to give Darlington a 22-13 exhibition win over North Myrtle Beach.
