Rich's Take on the Forest
I think what makes Drew Hummel so excited is the fact that his junior class is the strength of this team. Will Brunson's interview with Hags was candid and he explained what the offense needs to do so well. Brunson wants to see his team take the lead and put together long, sustained drives that put points on the board and more importantly control the clock. If the offense does their job, according to Brunson, it will make the defense better. It's rare to see a kid who understands the game so well. He's gotten interest from a number of big Division I schools, and it's just a matter of time before the offers start rolling in. I agree with Hummel's choice to move his key skill players on to play both ways. Yurachek on DL, Armstrong at LB and Belack in the secondary will provide depth and give the Forest a chance to have its best players on the field at all times.
Worth a Watch
Without a doubt, one of the best plays of the entire 2012 season was Kyle Belack's game winning TD catch in double overtime to beat Conway. WATCH IT HERE. It was the #1 play of the night and had to be a huge spark for the Panthers heading into the off-season.
