SC Bulls beat Havoc in Myrtle Beach

Conway High product Dominique Jackson celebrates after scoring on a 62-yard TD pass for the Havoc.

Former Charleston Southern quarterback A.J. Toscano threw three second half touchdown passes to lead the South Carolina Bulls to a 20-8 victory over the Palmetto Havoc at Ashley Booth Field in Myrtle Beach on Saturday night.

Toscano, who played college football at Charleston Southern hooked up with another former Buccaneer, Deon Lee, to break a scoreless tie in the third quarter. He later threw what proved to be the game-winning TD pass to Jose Vazquez to give the Bulls a 14-0 advantage.

Former Socastee High star Darren Holmes threw a 62-yard TD pass to Dominique Jackson, an ex-Conway High player for the only TD for the Havoc.

The Havoc falls to 1-4 on the season in the Gridiron Development Football League. Their next game will be on Saturday, July 12 at 7 p.m. against the Carolina Chargers out of Charleston.
