Pulliam takes checkers at Myrtle Beach 400

Lee Pulliam won the 21st annual Myrtle Beach 400 on Sunday.

Lee Pulliam won from the pole in the 21st annual Myrtle Beach 400 at Myrtle Beach Speedway on Sunday.

Pulliam, from Semora, North Carolina, went out in front for good after the two of the three cars in the lead pack were involved in a wreck on turn one during the white flag lap.

Pulliam is the reigning NASCAR Late Model Stock Car Champion. He earned a first place check for $15,000.

NASCAR Sprint Cup driver David Ragan was in the 42-car field. He finished in 11th place.
