North Myrtle Beach's Ryan Quigley is getting another opportunity in the NFL. The former Boston College punter and three time WPDE All-Zone selection has signed with the New York Jets. Quigley was one of six punters to get a tryout with the Jets, winning that competition and earning an invite to training camp. He'll report to the Jets at the end of April where he will join Robert Malone, who was the Jets starting punter in 2012.
Quigley was at Chicago Bears training camp in 2012. He earned a start in the Bears final preseason game against the New York Giants after Adam Podlesh was injured. Quigley made the Bears active roster, but was released following the first game of the season after Podlesh returned from injury. The punter holds Boston College records for career punts with 293 and 11,418 total yards.
