Some of NASCAR's biggest names came to the Florence Country Club for the first annual Jim Hunter Memorial Golf Tournament. The former Darlington Raceway president and NASCAR executive died of cancer at the age of 71 last year. Among the names on hand: NASCAR President Mike Helton, former Cup Champ Rusty Wallace, defending Southern 500 champion Denny Hamlin and Juan Pablo Montoya.

Juan Pablo Montoya was one of many drivers who had a close relationship with Hunter. Montoya was able to play golf with Hunter on more than one occasion. The media gathered also turned their attention to last week's business at Richmond when Montoya tangled with Ryan Newman on the track. Montoya downplayed the feud:
