The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team scored three first half goals to score a 3-1 win over the College of Charleston on Tuesday night in Conway. Head coach Shaun Docking picked up his 201st career victory in his 15th season guiding the CCU soccer program.
The Chants got on the board as Tevin Skyers flicked a ball with his right foot into open space and delivered a right foot kick to the far side of the net. It was Skyers 3rd goal of the season. Just three minutes later in the 27th minute, Henrik Robstad intercepted a ball from a C of C defender and delivered a low liner with his left foot from 20 yards out to the right side of the net. Uchenna Uzo closed out the scoring for CCU. The College of Charleston scored its lone goal in the 41st minute. There was no scoring in the second half.
Coastal Carolina improves to 7-1-2 on the season and are currently on a four game win streak. The Chanticleers are ranked 17th in the coaches poll (recognized as the NCAA's official national poll) and ranked 16th in the SoccerAmerica.com Top 25.
