Michel Enanga, Warren Gillis and Josh Cameron each had 13 points to lead Coastal Carolina to a 70-59 win over St. Francis Brooklyn Saturday in the EA Sports Maui on the Mainland Invitational Tournament.
El Hadji Ndieguene had 14 rebounds and 9 points for Coastal Carolina (2-3)
Jalen Cannon led St. Francis (2-3) with 11 points.
The Chanticleers took a 15-8 lead when Cameron stole the ball and hit a jumper in the paint at the 15:13 mark in the first period. The Terriers stayed close and tied the game with 8:46 remaining in the initial period on a 3-pointer by Brent Jones. Another 3-pointer by P.J. Santavenere gave the Terriers their first lead 28-25 with 5:17 remaining in the first. A 5-point run moved Coastal Carolina ahead 32-28 at the half.
Coastal Carolina shot 29-of-39 from the free throw line. The Terriers were 11-of-14, and made only 33.3% field goals.
Coastal will play Louisiana-Lafayette for the tournament championship on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the HTC Center in Conway.
