South Carolina Warriors finish a perfect regular season

Jo Harris led the Warriors with 12 rebounds against Fayetteville.

The South Carolina Warriors pro basketball team, based out of Carolina Forest, finished their American Basketball Association regular season schedule undefeated. The Warriors beat the Fayetteville Crossover 139-87 on Saturday night at the Carolina Forest Recreation Center.

The Warriors (24-0) were led by six players in double-figures. Kellen Brand led the way with 24 points. Thirteen different players scored for head coach Chris Beard's unbeaten squad.

Former Georgetown High and Auburn player Brendon Knox had 17 points with seven rebounds. Former Socastee star Josh Fowler chipped in with six points and four rebounds. Jo Harris, the all-time leading rebounder in Big South Conference history hauled down a dozen boards. The former Coastal Carolina star also scored four points.

The Warriors are ranked number one in the ABA. They will begin the playoffs next Saturday March 17 at the Carolina Forest Recreation Center with a first round game against the Carolina Cheetahs. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
