Former CCU star Jerome Simpson had 7 catches for 124 yards for the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

The Minnesota Vikings beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 34-27 in London, England on Sunday. Vikings wide receiver Jerome Simpson had seven catches for 124 yards and recovered a fumble. The 27-year old Simpson has 19 catches for 342 yards this season.

Former Wilson High star Lawrence Timmons had six tackles with one pass defended for the Steelers in a loss to the Vikings.

Marlboro County High product Robert Ayers made six tackles, including half a sack for the Denver Broncos, in a 52-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Eagles defensive end Clifton Geathers, who played high school football at Carvers Bay, made one tackle in a loss to the Broncos.

The Arizona Cardinals beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 13-10. Ex-Cheraw High and Clemson star Jaron Brown had one catch for 19 yards for the Cardinals. Brown's catch helped to set up the Cards game-winning field goal. Teammate John Abraham, who played high school football at Lamar, had one tackle for loss.

Ex-North Myrtle Beach High star Ryan Quigley punted five times for the New York Jets for a 49 yard average, in a 38-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Quigley had one punt land inside the 20, and had a long punt of 56 yards.
