NFL Week 12: Grand Strand & Pee Dee Player Performances

Several players from the WPDE coverage area made an impact on Week 12 in the NFL.

Former Wilson High star Lawrence Timmons had seven tackles for the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 27-11 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Ex-West Florence standout Brandon Bostick made one catch for 24 yards for the Green Bay Packers in a 26-26 tie with the Minnesota Vikings. Vikings receiver Jerome Simpson out of Coastal Carolina had two catches for 54 yards.

Carolina Panthers running back Mike Tolbert, who played at Coastal, had four carries for 23 yards in a 20-16 win over the Dolphins in Miami.

Jaron Brown, who played high school ball at Cheraw, had one catch for 16 yards for the Arizona Cardinals in a 40-11 win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Ryan Quigley who played at North Myrtle Beach High, had eight punts for an average of 37.9 yards for the New York Jets in a 19-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Quigley had a long punt of 67 yards and three that landed inside the 20-yard line.

Denver Broncos defensive end Robert Ayers, who played at Marlboro County High, had one tackle in a 34-31 overtime loss to the New England Patriots.

On Thursday night, Cliff Matthews out of Cheraw made one tackle for the Atlanta Falcons in a 17-13 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
