NFL Week 10: Pee Dee & Grand Strand Player Performances

Marlboro County's Robert Ayers had one of the Denver Broncos seven sacks on Sunday.

Clio, South Carolina native Robert Ayers had five tackles for the Denver Broncos in a 36-14 win over the Carolina Panthers. The former Marlboro County High star had one of the Broncos seven sacks.

Lawrence Timmons, out of Wilson High in Florence, made seven tackles and had a key interception in overtime to help the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Kansas City Chiefs 16-13.

Robert Geathers out of Carvers Bay High had three tackles, including one sack for the Cincinnati Bengals, in a 31-13 win over the New York Giants.

Two former Coastal Carolina stars came out on the losing side for the Panthers on Sunday. Josh Norman made five tackles. Mike Tolbert had two carries for six yards, and caught two passes for 34 yards.

Ex-Coastal Carolina wide receiver Jerome Simpson had three catches for 28 yards for the Minnesota Vikings, in a 34-24 victory over the Detroit Lions.

On the losing side for the Lions, former Wilson High standout Justin Durant tied for a team-high with nine tackles against the Vikings.

Former South Carolina Gamecocks star John Abraham, who played high school football at Lamar High, made one tackle for the Atlanta Falcons in a 31-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
