College Football: Stony Brook 42 Coastal Carolina 0

CCU Head Coach David Bennett's Chants fall to 4-4 on the season.

Stony Brook running back Miguel Maysonet ran for 191 yards and three touchdowns in the Seawolves 42-0 win over the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers on Saturday in New York.

Stony Brook did not have a single passing yard in the game. But the Seawolves ran for a Big South Conference single game record 446 yards. Brock Jackolski led Stony Brook with 193 rushing yards. The game was played in a Nor'easter with rain and wind throughout the contest.

CCU was held to just 73 net yards. Former Cheraw High star Travis Small led the Chants with 41 rushing yards. Chris Thomas led the Coastal defense with eight tackles.

Stony Brook improves to 5-3 overall. The Seawolves are 3-0 in the Big South Conference. Liberty is 4-0 in the BSC.

Coastal Carolina falls to 4-4 overall and 1-3 in Big South Conference play. The Chanticleers return home next Saturday, November 5 to host Presbyterian at Brooks Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
