College Baseball Saturday features Gamecocks DH sweep

The 14th ranked South Carolina Gamecocks swept a double-header from the 17th ranked Kentucky Wildcats 5-2 and 7-6 on Saturday. In game two, Brison Celek drove home the game-winner to score Joey Pankake in the 11th inning. Former St. James High standout Tanner English went 2-for-5 with an RBI, before a crowd of 8,148 at Carolina Stadium. The Gamecocks overall record is now 30-10, 10-7 in the SEC.

The Miami Hurricanes beat the #12 Clemson Tigers 2-1 in Coral Gables, Florida, before 2,588 fans at Alex Rodriguez Park. Bryan Radziewski struck out 10 to stop the Tigers win streak at 11. Clemson falls to an overall record of 27-12, 13-7 in the ACC.

Coastal Carolina defeated Radford 1-0 in 15 innings on a walk-off home run by Ted Blackman, to complete a suspended game from Friday, before a gathering of just 64 fans. In the regularly scheduled contest, Radford beat CCU 4-3 at Pelicans Ballpark in Myrtle Beach. Coastal's overall record is now 25-14, 11-3 in the Big South Conference.
