College Baseball Saturday 4/6

The 11th ranked South Carolina Gamecocks beat the Tennessee Volunteers 12-8 in Knoxville. Murrels Inlet native Tanner English went 2-for-5 with two RBI and scored a run. The Gamecocks improve to an overall record of 25-7, 7-4 in the SEC.

Clemson scored four runs in the first inning and coasted to a 9-2 win over Boston College at Commander Shea Field. The Tigers improved to 20-11 overall and 8-6 in the ACC.

Coastal Carolina broke a 1-1 tie with a four run eighth inning to defeat Liberty 5-1 at Field at Pelicans Ballpark. The Chanticleers are now 18-12 overall, 5-2 in the Big South Conference. Game two is set for Sunday at 7:30 p.m. The series finale will be Monday at Noon.
