Tanner English scored one run, had three hits and drove in five in game two of a doubleheader on Saturday.

The South Carolina Gamecocks opened the 2014 season with a doubleheader sweep of Bucknell in Columbia. South Carolina won game one 17-4, and St. James product Tanner English drove in a career-high five runs during game two in a 12-2 Gamecocks win.

The Clemson Tigers beat Eastern Michigan 5-3 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Clemson improves to 1-1 on the year.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers lost their season opener in Myrtle Beach 7-5 to the Pittsburgh Panthers.
