College Baseball: Gamecocks swept, CCU wins

Arkansas completed a three-game sweep against South Carolina on Sunday.

The 17th ranked Arkansas Razorbacks defeated the 6th ranked South Carolina Gamecocks 5-3 in 11 innings on Sunday, in front of a crowd of 7,208 at Carolina Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina.

Murrells Inlet native Tanner English drove in a game-tying run for South Carolina on a bases loaded walk in the seventh inning to eventually force extra innings. In the top of the 11th, Matt Vinson singled to drive in two runs for Arkansas. The Razorbacks swept the three game series. South Carolina's overall record falls to 18-6, 2-4 in the SEC.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers defeated the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs 4-3 at Field and Pelicans Ballpark on Sunday. CCU took two out of three from Gardner-Webb. The Chants overall record improves to 13-11, 2-1 in the Big South Conference.
