Coastal Carolina wins regular season finale over VMI

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers men's basketball team defeated the VMI Keydets 81-64 on Saturday afternoon before a crowd of 2,541 at Cameron Hall in Lexington, Virginia. It was VMI's second loss at home this season.

CCU guard Anthony Raffa scored a game-high 26 points. He hit four of five shots from 3-point range. Ten different Chants players scored. Chris Gradnigo had 16 points along with nine rebounds, and Jon Pack and Kierre Greenwood each finished with a dozen points.

Coastal shot 52.6 percent from the field while holding VMI to their lowest shooting percentage of the season with the Keydets hitting just 27.8 percent. VMI made just six of 33 shots from beyond the arc.

Coastal Carolina ended the regular season with an overall record of 19-10. The Chants finished 12-6 in the Big South Conference. Coastal will head to the Big South Tournament which begins next week in Asheville, North Carolina. VMI finished the regular season 14-15 overall, 8-10 in the Big South.
