CCU Hoops scores win over Central Connecticut

CCU improves to 7-7 on the season.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers beat the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils 86-67 at the HTC Center in Conway on Friday night.

Freshman guard Elijah Wilson led Coastal with 19 points. He was one of six players in double-figures in scoring for CCU.

Coastal got out to a 47-28 lead at halftime. Uros Ljeskovic scored 10 of his 12 points in the first half to lead a strong inside game for the Chanticleers.

Michel Enanga recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Badou Diagne also had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Coastal outrebounded Central Connecticut 48-31.

The Chants (7-7) will begin Big South Conference play on Wednesday, January 8 at Charleston Southern at 7:30 p.m.
