Tajh Boyd has record-setting day in Clemson win over Syracuse

Clemson's Tajh Boyd threw for 455 yards and 5 TD's to lead the Tigers to a win over Syracuse.

Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd threw for a school-record 455 yards and 5 touchdowns to lead the Tigers to a 49-14 win over the Syrause Orange at the Carrier Dome on Saturday. Boyd completed 20 of 27 passes.

Boyd threw a pair of first quarter TD passes to Adam Humphries of 60 and 42 yards to give Clemson a 21-0 first quarter lead. Humphries caught three passes for 118 yards.

The highlight of the day came when Boyd threw a 91-yard TD pass to Sammy Watkins in the third quarter. Watkins had three grabs for 126 yards.

#3 Clemson improves to 5-0 on the season, 3-0 in the ACC. The Tigers will host Boston College next Saturday, October 12 at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
