Former Hartsville High star Jordan Lyles has been placed on the 60-day disabled list.
Sun, 13 Jul 2014 19:11:37 GMT — DENVER (AP) -- The Colorado Rockies activated Brett Anderson from the 60-day disabled list and the lefty will start Sunday against Minnesota. Anderson has been out since breaking his left index finger on April 12 while batting. Anderson is 0-2 with a 3.60 ERA this season. To make room for Anderson, the team optioned utility player Kyle Parker to Triple-A Colorado Springs. The Rockies also transferred righty Jordan Lyles (broken left hand) to the 60-day DL. Rockies manager Walt Weiss said recent X-rays showed Lyles' hand "needed a little bit more time." Weiss also said Lyles was involved in a minor car accident Friday night and suffered some facial injuries. Weiss said Lyles was "going to be OK" and the accident didn't play a role in Lyles going on the 60-day DL.
