Former Clemson star arrested on prostitution charge

A former Clemson football star and Orange Bowl Hall of Famer was arrested in Myrtle Beach last week on a prostitution charge.

Terry Kinard, 54, was arrested along with Helen Lynn Corbin, 40, in an abandoned subdivision

, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.

The report says Corbin had an outstanding bench warrant for prostitution. Kinard told police he had paid Corbin $20 for sex, according to the report.

Kinard was a two-time All-American defensive back for Clemson from 1979 to 1982 and was inducted into the Clemson Athletic Hall of Fame in 1992.

After an NFL career with the New York Giants and Houston Oilers, Kinard was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2001 and was recently inducted into the Orange Bowl Hall of Fame.
