Man charged with kidnapping 12-year-old SC girl

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina Amber Alert is posted for a missing 12-year-old girl, and authorities have taken out a warrant accusing a 26-year-old man of abducting her.

Clemson Police Chief Jimmy Dixon says no one has reported seeing Julieta Yoselin since she sneaked out of her home Monday night to meet with Jesus Alanda Lozada, who is charged in the warrant with kidnapping.

Dixon says the Amber Alert was issued two days later when investigators determined Lozada gathered up all his belongings and the girl took nothing.

Dixon says it was apparent the girl was not ready to stay gone a long time.

Authorities think Lozada may be heading to Atlanta where he has family members.

The FBI is helping local and state investigators.
