South Carolina Peaches with Buttermilk Whipped Cream, (Sydney Glenn/WPDE)

If you love southern peaches, you will love this easy recipe! The buttermilk whip cream balances out the sweetness from the peaches.

BUTTERMILK WHIP CREAM

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • ¼ Cup of Powdered Sugar
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation:

  • In medium metal bowl combine cream, buttermilk, sugar, and salt. Gradually whisk mixture to a thick whipped cream consistency
  • Chill mixture covered until ready to serve.

SAUTED SOUTH CAROLINA PEACHES

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 large ripe peaches, pitted and each cut into 8 wedges

Preparation:

  • In a large skillet, melt unsalted butter over medium heat. Stir in sugar.
  • Add peaches. Cook, stirring, until sugar has dissolved and peaches are warmed through and coated, 2 to 5 minutes. Serve immediately.
