Enjoy the start of spring with fresh strawberries
Conway, S.C. (WPDE) —
Monday will mark the first day of Spring in 2017.
Chef Geoff Blount from the International Culinary Institute at HGTC and Miracle Lewis from Sweet Home Farms in Loris offer some tips on making desserts with strawberries.
Chef Blount said he always tries to utilize seasonal, local ingredients. He suggests adding a drizzle of local honey to sliced strawberries and pouring it over grilled pound cake.
