The Horry County United Way campaign is closing in on its fundraising goal for 2013.
Campaign leaders held a luncheon Wednesday at Ocean Lakes Campground in Surfside Beach to thank volunteers for their work on the fund drive.
The goal this year is $1.275 million, the same amount as last year.
The chairman of this year's campaign says United Way may not top its goal this year, but it will come close.
"I think we'll be able to get to the point where we'll be able to service all the agencies in need, even if we don't get to the actual goal," said Lance Thompson.
Thompson says the campaign has reached about 95 percent of its goal.
United Way provides funds for 45 agencies and organizations in Horry County.
