Horry County police say a second suspect involved in the shooting that took place last weekend at a Carolina Forest apartment complex has been located and arrested by the U.S. Marshal Task Force in Fayetteville, NC Thursday, according to the Horry County Police Department Facebook page.

Akeem Akbar Young, 36, of Conway, will be charged with Murder when he's extradited to Horry County, police said.

On Tuesday Delshawn Anthony Davis, 29, of Conway, was arrested and charged with Murder in connection with this same shooting.

Davis turned himself in on Tuesday, according to a release from police.

The victim in the shooting was Antonio Dexter Smith, 26, of Myrtle Beach, according to a police report.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said Smith died at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center from multiple gun shot wounds.

According to a police report released Monday, an officer arrived on scene Saturday afternoon at Canterbury Apartments in Carolina Forest after reports of shots fired and at least one possible victim.

The officer saw a gold Ford Expedition that had crashed into a silver Toyota Corolla in the parking lot. He walked around the car and saw a large crowd around a man who was lying on the ground next to the Expedition with gunshot wounds to his chest, stomach and arms, the report said.

Witnesses said they heard 4 to 6 gunshots fired and had seen a black Chrysler 300 speed off after the shots were fired.

Five shell casings were found and taken as evidence.
