Police issue warning for women real estate agents

Brunswick County Sheriff's Office detectives are warning women real estate agents in Brunswick and Horry counties of a suspicious buyer.

Police say a man claims to be a high ranking VP with the Hanes Corporation who wants to relocate to our area.

This man has used the names of "Eric Mullins", "Steven Mullins", "Alex Mullins" and possibly "Steven Kincaid" according to the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office.

He insists that only female real estate agents show him the properties and then exhibits odd and inappropriate behavior while at the homes.

"Mullins" is said to be a white man, approximately 6'04" tall, with paunchy build and thinning black hair.

He is also known to wear gold rimmed glasses.

His last known vehicle was a white SUV with Georgia license plates.

Detectives are asking women agents to use extreme caution and show properties in pairs if all possible.

They advise that if the situation does not "feel right" it probably isn't and to call 911.

Anyone with any additional related information should contact Det. Ronald Clarke at 910-386-7080.
