Amber Alert in SC for missing NJ children

New Jersey police asked the State Law Enforcement Division to issue an Amber Alert in South Carolina for two children believed to have been taken by their father after their mother was murdered.

New Jersey police say Friday, John Jordan removed his two children from their school in Lodi, NJ prior to the end of the school day.

Police say the children were found at John Jordan's father's house in Greenville.

John Jordan is separated from his wife and was not supposed to pick up the children at school.

Police Say when they went to the children's home for a well-being check, they found the mother stabbed to death.

John Jordan is believed to have fled the area with both children in his black 2007 Honda Civic, NJ license tag: VHH37S.

The mother's vehicle is also missing. Her vehicle is described as a silver 2012 Honda Accord with NJ license tag: Z56CDJ.

John Jordan, 47, is 5'10" and 220 lbs. The children are Anthony Jordan, age 7, and Nicholas Jordan, age 8.

Police believe Jordan may be heading to Greenville, SC or New River Gorge, WV.
