Wreck disrupts traffic in Myrtle Beach

Traffic is being disrupted in Myrtle Beach after an early morning wreck at the intersection of Highway 501 and Seaboard Street.

A vehicle hit a utility pole around 6 a.m. Tuesday, according to Captain Knipes with the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

Knipes said traffic is backed up a couple of blocks, as of 7:45 a.m.

He said two people were entrapped in the vehicle, and he is not sure of their condition at this point.

Utility crews are on scene fixing the pole.
